MILICA Cululejevic

We’re excited to welcome Milica as our new ambassador. Milica lives in Copenhagen, where she trains in athletics and studies to become a nurse. Even though she’s still early in her athletics career, she’s already achieved some impressive results - and she’s only just getting started. We highly recommend following her on Instagram to get insights into her training. We had the pleasure of asking her a few questions to get to know her a little better.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you’re up to these days?
My name is Milica, I’m 25 years old and I practice athletics six times a week. Alongside my training, I’m studying to become a nurse and am currently finishing my third semester. Most of my time is spent between school, training, and being with my family and friends. During the outdoor season, I also dedicate many of my weekends to competitions.

What inspired you to start practicing athletics?
To be completely honest, there wasn’t a big moment or any deep reason behind it. I had danced for many years, but eventually started to lose interest. So one night, as I was lying there thinking, it just hit me: “I think I want to try athletics”. The next day, I messaged my current coach and asked if I could join his team. He said yes — and since then, I’ve been training almost every day.

What has been the highlight of your athletic career so far?
I’m still pretty new to the athletics world - I’ve only been doing it for two years. I started completely from scratch — I seriously couldn’t even do a push up on my knees. So one of my biggest highlights is probably just that I’ve gotten into really good shape and developed a great running form. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m proud of that. And actually, I made it to the Danish Championship in my very first year — that was a really great experience.

Can you give us a glimpse into what a typical day looks like for you?

My days vary a bit depending on whether I train in the morning or the evening. Right now, I’m a big fan of morning workouts, so I get up around 5:40 AM, eat a little, and am ready at Østerbro Stadium by 6:30 AM. The training usually lasts until 8:15, then I take a shower and head off to school. I finish around 2 or 3 PM, and then I head home to relax.

How do you support your mental health and wellbeing?
I try to eat a varied diet - lots of veggies and proteins, but I’m definitely not on any strict diet. Sweet treats are also part of my mental health. I believe in balance and eating what I enjoy because it makes me happy. Besides that, I surround myself with people who give me good energy, and that really means a lot to me.

What advice would you give to young women in sports?
Set goals - but also be proud of the journey. It's totally okay to fail, because that's how you grow, both as an athlete and as a person. Find the joy in the everyday and remember to celebrate your progress, no matter how small.

What gives you energy and motivation?
It’s the feeling of progress. When I can feel myself getting stronger, faster, or learning something new, my motivation naturally grows. I also get a lot of energy from my community — like my athletic team and my mom. They believe in me and  cheer me on, which gives me extra drive, especially on tough days.

What is your favorite place in the world?
My sofa — with a PlayStation controller in my hand! But other than that, it’s Serbia. I have roots there and have spent many summers and a big part of my childhood there. It feels a bit like my second home

What are 3 essential things you always have in your kitchen?
Avocado — who doesn’t love it?

Oats — easy, quick, and perfect for lazy mornings

Chocolate — and no, I don’t even need to explain why.

Which season do you love the most, and why?
Winter! I love being indoors, cuddled up under a blanket, watching a good movie.

How do you prefer to relax after a long day
Definitely on the couch — either with a good movie (probably one I’ve seen 50 times already), or with a PlayStation controller in hand. That’s total zen for me.

What are your favorite Pure Lime products and why?
My two favorites are their tights — they seriously feel like you’re wearing nothing — and their sports bras. When I run, it's super important that everything stays in place, and with these, it does. Comfort is everything!
